Genealogy Publishing for WordPress

Publish, browse, review, and preserve family history from structured genealogy data directly inside WordPress.

The public demo uses seeded genealogy data to show tree browsing, person profiles, chart views, and relationship rendering without exposing real family information.

Built for family-history publishing

RootLinePress combines genealogy data management, public publishing, and data-quality review tools for WordPress site owners.

GEDCOM import/export

Import structured genealogy data, manage it in WordPress, and export GEDCOM files for backup, review, or transfer.

Public family pages

Publish family-history portals, browse pages, person views, and dashboard-style family pages with WordPress shortcodes.

Review workflows

Use Tree Health, Data Correction, Surname Anomalies, and audit-aware tools to review genealogy quality before making changes.

What RootLinePress does today

  • Imports and exports GEDCOM-based genealogy data.
  • Supports people, families, events, notes, sources, media links, and multiple trees.
  • Publishes family-history pages through WordPress shortcodes.
  • Provides Tree Health, Data Correction, Surname Anomalies, Audit Logs, Diagnostics, and System Status tools.
  • Preserves compatibility with existing internal identifiers during productization.

Freemium direction

RootLinePress is being prepared for a freemium model. The current core genealogy publishing foundation is expected to remain free, while future Pro features may include enhanced publishing layouts, expanded reporting, commercial update delivery, priority support, and advanced workflow tools.

Current status: RootLinePress is in early productization. Commercial licensing, automatic updates, paid support, and Pro feature enforcement are not active yet.

Compatibility first

The product-facing name is RootLinePress, but internal plugin identifiers remain stable during productization to protect existing installs, shortcodes, URLs, database tables, exports, and administrative workflows.
